Shawn Reeder & Eduardo Carvalho

Welcome, and thanks for checking us out. I’m so excited to make my music available, its always been a very important part of who I am. I think music is one of the most powerful forms of vibration and I love to share.

Eduardo and I have been playing music a lot together over the last few years, and he's been the main person I've been working with recording for my own music. We have very similar styles and influences, and work together so well.

Its really cool, we both play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and know how to work the drums, and we just work so well together with each of us playing lots of different instruments throughout all our songs. Some songs he'll do the bass and drums, and I'll do the guitars, or he'll be on acoustic with me on electric, or me on bass and him on guitar, you get the picture. It's really fun and lets us keep things fresh by playing different instruments.

Shawn:

I’ve been playing music since I was eight when I started off with the sax playing in the school bands. My dad plays sax so he’s always been a big inspiration to me. When I got to high school I picked up my first guitar, and thats when I really fell in love. Paul Alvaran was actually the first person who I learned from, and he really instilled in me the foundation thats allowed me to grow and mature as a musician. I also studied three semesters of private guitar, piano, and music theory before I packed up my stuff in Maryland and moved out west as my life changed forever.

The following years found me traveling around the west living out of my truck hiking and climbing as I explored the mountains, deserts, and coast with many a campfire guitar session to be had. No matter where I wandered though I always came back to Yosemite and the High Sierra, the place that captures my heart like no other. These wanderings in and out of Yosemite eventually landed me here in my home of Bishop, CA, the gateway to the High Sierra.

I’ve built up a great little studio here where I can head into the back yard and jump on the trampoline with outrageous views of the mountains for inspiration. I’ll be putting up lots more music over the next few months with many projects in the works now. I’ll be doing some amazing piano and guitar songs with Jim O’Meally, some beautiful songs with Mario Aguilar (who you’ll be hearing about soon) singing, and of course more with Eduardo. I also have quite a few solo projects I’m excited about so be sure to check back regularly as we add more music, and thanks for your support!
